WHAT THE FUCK I LISTENED TO YESTERDAY

I never really surf my soundcloud at all. I usually just listen to tracks that people tweet then I hop off of it but tonight I was surfing and heard some shit I fuck with. Some of it's old but music is timeless so that don't matter. A couple are from the Chicago music scene. My favorite music scene in the world. They're so welcoming, cool, and they love to jam. This is what the fuck I listened to yesterday.

MONTE BOOKER - ALIEN BLUES W/ CAM O'BI

I've never really listened to Monte production outside of the jams he makes with the homie Smino. He's supremely talented at a very young age so he's just going to get even better over time. Definitely see him winning all types of awards in the future that's how talented Monte is. Someone shared this joint on soundcloud and I'm glad I heard it. It was a vibe I needed to hear for the mood I've been having lately and this shit made me smile. I'm not sad or no shit like that I just have moments where I feel very uncertain about shit. Anxiety a muhfucka. A smooth jam that put my mind at ease. He has newer shit than this but this was my favorite out of the waves he made.

DANTE WOLFE - TEMP TAGS FEAT MVSTERMIND

The homie went on a journey through the underworld. He's not necessarily proud of what he's doing but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do to bring food home. From friends switching up to his girl leaving him while he was risking his life for her to leaving no traces of evidence for the laws to see. Very vibrant production and upbeat lyricism with dark content. A dope joint indeed.

LAVELLE SPITZ - CIVIL WAR FEAT CIEJ & NATO CALIPH

Lavelle Spitz is one of my favorite M.C's out of St.Louis ever. He's now based in Southside Chicago but he's one of the slickest styles I've ever heard and he always has something to say. He don't rap just to rap. I compare him to the future hall of fame boxer Bernard Hopkins. He just gets in the ring and handles business he doesn't need the flash and the showboating he just need the belts and the wins. Lines like "Rather play my trump card, knock trump off while my trumpet plays the theme song, Spitz Armstrong" is why I fucks with Spitz heavy. Ciej verse was just lyrically masterful and honest and Nato O.G'd it for the ending. This was a perfect track because the chemistry was on point. You'd think these dudes were a group. A track fitting for the injustice going in America right now.

the WHOevers - R U DOWN

One of their songs were shared by my homies on soundcloud and I fucked with that joint so I went to their profile and I found this. This shit sound like a jam that I'll cruise to during my Grand Theft Auto missions. Belongs on Vice City or San Andreas Soundtrack. Two stepping like a muhfucka to this shit.

DJ NICO - #BLACKLUHDOE: VOL II

Aint nothing like Black Love. It's what the universe need at the moment if you haven't noticed. Nico back with the jams vintage and new for your hearts. Enjoy. Oh I'm actually on this mix too! =)
