Still salty that I missed the listening party. I found out last minute so I couldn’t take off from slavery (work) in time but it’s all good the vibe is now about to be purchased and played while I organize my anime blu ray collection.
Here we have PINKSKYPARADISE by soulful St.Louis producer Orlando Vaughn. The greatest pink shit since Killa Cam hopped out the Escalade truck with the custom made pink timbs in the “I Really Mean It” video.
Let’s get to it.
TREASURE FEAT ARSHAD GOODS
Out the gate Arshad kicks us the real. Two reasons I fuck with Arshad’s approach to this verse and music in general.
One. It feels like a conversation. You ever watch something like a NBA game with one of ya homies and of course all you talk about during the game is the game but after the game over you usually talk about life and life changing shit. Arshad’s raps are those convos after the game/entertainment.
Two. He’s aware of himself and when he makes a discovery of self or something in the world he shares it good or bad. No filter.
Vaughn vocals compliment the background very well and takes the track home along with another special guest, his son. Gotta start em early. Moments like that for parents always get treasured.
LIFE LIKE FEAT ZADO
Zado is basically Sting. He just chills in the rafters, comes down, beats verses with a black bat then goes right back to the rafters. A very heartfelt verse about him finding his way out of darkness and finding a purpose through it all.
A very smooth and dark track with smooth vocals. Probably my favorite track on the ep. A future video should definitely be the move for this song.
Soon as the vocals hit I was like damn who is this? Real shit. Sounding like Faith Evans in 1995. The production on this was crazy too and felt like I was in the 90’s. The end of this track is fucking jammin!
I deadass can’t explain this shit. It’s so beautiful. It’s like when I hear it I envision myself at a function and me and a shorty hesitating to make a move towards each other. The vocals Tayllorkaye and Vaughn trade back and forth to finish the track is super wavy.
This EP real as fuck go ahead and buy this for ya soul for the one time. POLITE APPROVED!
