Okay......I haven't written in a while so I might be kinda rusty and shit.

Well that ended quickly.

THERE ARE SPOILERS IN THIS POST! IF YOU HAVE NOT WATCHED SEASON 2 OF STRANGER THINGS TAKE YO GOOFY ASS OFF MY BLOG AND GO WATCH IT AND THEN COME BACK. YOU’VE BEEN WARNED.

I didn’t know what to expect coming into season 2 of Stranger Things. The first season was so wavy and I watched it 3 times. The story was just beautifully written and the acting was better than I thought it would be. Kid actors be trash sometimes ya feel me? That’s why I thought that . Anyway I finished season 2 in a day just like everyone else and I don’t really know where to begin so I’m just gonna start out with what I loved about it and to finish this what I hated about it.

THE LOVE SESSION

WILL’S TRAUMA

As you know from the end of the first season you saw Will throw up that slug and seen that he was still connected to the upside down. I loved the trauma he went through from it not just on the alien side of it but the human side of it. He was bullied and made fun of for a lie. No one knows he was abducted by aliens. If they knew the truth they’d think Will is the coolest mothafucka living. He had to deal with his mother being even more overprotective than she already was. He couldn’t be alone. Everyone couldn’t treat him normally anymore. I loved they looked at all the effects of what Will was going through. Will was dope this season.

PAPA HOPPER

Hopper hides Eleven in his grandfather’s old house and we see him learn how to be a father and raise a child again since losing his family. A child with supernatural abilities but still a child. He had so many ups and downs with Eleven and it took you on this emotional roller coaster. Sometimes you’d think Hopper is a dickhead. Sometimes you’d think Hopper is a loving parent. Seeing him teach Eleven things like what “compromise” means was heartwarming. Yes I actually said heartwarming forgive me. He saved Eleven from robbing hunters and eating squirrels like Bobby Boucher’s Mom.

STEVE ACTUALLY BECAME LIKEABLE

This shocked me. I actually started to like Steve this season despite his hair having a mind of it's own and similar to Mel Kiper Jr hair from ESPN. Sure I liked him out of pity and sympathy this season but his transformation from Season 1 to Season 2 is slept on. You literally saw his journey from immaturity to maturity and you seen he’s not actually a bad guy. He continues to get his ass beat so I'd recommend him taking a boxing class or something but he's an okay guy. The scenes of him with the kids are my favorite this season. It clicked really well. Him having guy talk with Dustin was fire.

DART

Before growing and actually eating cats and humans. I actually fucked with D,Artagnan. When he was just a Bien Bien Pollywog he was pretty cool.

THE ANALOGIES

I’m really big on analogies. I love them. There were a lot of good ones. Of course the main one of the shadow monster and the mind flayer. The Phineas Gage and Will analogy. The classic arcade game “Dig Dug” as the name of the episodes referring to the tunnels the Shadow Monster created. That analogy was PERFECT and BRILLIANT! The Vodka drink and tape analogy in the Nancy and Jon scene was dope. Hopper comparing himself to a black hole when he loves people was an accurate analogy but really sad to hear.

ELEVEN’S GROWTH

I liked her being away from the group for the majority of this season. Seeing her grow was very essential for this season and future seasons. Traveling alone. Being imprisoned under Hopper, not intentionally but differently than Hawkins Lab. Her traveling on her own to find her mother and sister. Learning about anger. Finding out about what was done to her mother. Turning into the mothafucking Phoenix like Jean Grae and saving humanity. She’s the GOAT. She even had hair like Gordon Gekko in the movie “Wall Street.” Eleven learned a lot about herself which will be key in the future.

GHOSTBUSTERS

The Ghostbusters costumes were legendary as fuck.

JOYCE BYERS DECOR SERVICES

These aliens have basically ruined all aspects of Joyce’s life including her home. The living room was redecorated again but not with Christmas lights this time but with drawings by Will. So in season 3 I wonder what decorations Joyce will have in her house this time. Seriously those aliens fucked up her house, love life, and child. Joyce and Will suffered the most from all this shit. Also Winona Ryder killed it acting wise as Joyce. She was made for the role.

MAD MAX

I liked Max as a new character. She wasn’t really annoying or forced on the viewer. Her personality was missing from the group. She’s very mature and witty for her age and views the world differently than the other kids. She was refreshing. The Dig Dug champion was great to me.

THE SPLIT

The group of kids were all split up for the first time and each dealing with their own conflict in the series. It was needed. Loved it.

MRS.WHEELER

I’d smash that ass in a heartbeat. Billy the bitch didn’t have the heart to.

DUSTIN WAVINESS

Dustin had hair like prime David Hasselhoff. He also shot his shot like a G at the Winter Dance. He’s clearly the realest.

Okay now to what I wasn't a fan of this season.

THE HATE SESSION

THE MULLET GOOF

Billy was a pure bitch. Straight up and down. Hated that fucking mullet and his dirty ass mustache. No redeeming qualities from that guy. The scene of his dad slapping him around like the pussy he is made my night.

NANCY

She just bothers me. Whether she’s with Steve or Jonathan she bothers me. I guess I’m still pissed about Barb. She’s gone because of Nancy. Her and Jonathan scenes were so bland. Their chemistry seemed a bit off. Steve and Nancy kind of worked because they were kinda different. Her and Jonathan just had something missing and I can’t figure out what it was.

MONSTERS

I thought there would be different monsters but they were essentially the same Demogorgons just in dog form. I felt like they missed a shot at introducing even more terrifying creatures.

BOB’S DEATH

I liked Bob. He was the homie. He was the MVP of the season and I knew he was gonna die. Dude was a solid person all across the board. He was himself and was proud as fuck to be a cheeseball kinda guy. Dude just wanted to move the Byers to Maine and live peacefully and they took my guy out. Demogorgons treated Bob like fresh baked macaroni out the oven on thanksgiving. Tough to watch. Sucks because he was actually a great character.

MIKE

This season Mike was just a brat the whole way through. Easily the most annoying character this season. Lucas kinda held that title last season but he fell back this season. Every good thing Mike did he’d cancel it by being an asshole. The way he treated Max was fucked up. His overreaction towards Hopper just sealed the deal of most annoying character. His whiny voice makes me wanna drive my head into a wall.

PREDICTABLE

I knew everything was gonna be all right before the season ended. That bothered me. I was hoping this season would hang me over the cliff and make everything seem hopeless. I never sensed a real threat at all. I predicted a lot of the season before it happened.

Season 2 was bitchin though. For sure. Definitely liked it.
